- Stay on Designated Paths: During your activities, stick to designated trails, paths, or roads. Venturing off-trail can harm the delicate ecosystem, disturb wildlife habitats, and increase the risk of getting lost or encountering dangerous situations. For example, the dense bushes may contain venomous snakes, therefore it is best to stick to the routes suggested by your guide. At Rukhad Jungle Camp, all the cottages are near the water bodies however approaching the water bodies on your own is strictly prohibited as these water bodies are used as a source of drinking water for the wild animals.
- Presence of Wildlife in Your Vicinity Since you are inside the forest, it is perfectly normal to spot the pug marks around the cottage in the morning or hear the various sounds of the jungle in the night. Don’t be surprised if you hear the alarm calls to signify the presence of a predator or a tiger growl echoing through the darkness. Rest assured, these nocturnal sounds are a natural part of the jungle's rhythm, ensuring that even while we sleep, the wilderness remains wide awake. Ensure that you do not leave any doors and windows open at night, nor do you step out of the rooms at night.
- Carry Essential Supplies: Carry essential supplies such as insect repellent, sunscreen, appropriate clothing and a torch. Be prepared for unexpected situations and ensure you have the necessary items to keep yourself safe and comfortable.
- Carry Medication: As you prepare for your stay in the wilderness, it's important to note that the nearest medical facilities are located at least 3-4 hours away from our wildlife lodge. To ensure your well-being and peace of mind, we strongly recommend that you carry all necessary medications with you during your visit. It is essential to have an ample supply of any prescription medications you require, as well as any over-the-counter remedies you may need.
- Maintain Distance from Wildlife: While encountering wildlife, maintain a safe distance and avoid approaching or provoking them. Respect their space and observe from a distance to avoid any potential conflicts. The key is to listen to your naturalist.
